Epoxy Flooring in Heathcote
Heathcote's own creek has flooded before. The Greater Bendigo Planning Scheme says the McIvor Creek in Heathcote has a long history of flooding that has historically caused damage to infrastructure and buildings. For a garage or shed floor that makes “has water been on this floor, and where does it go?” a fair question to put to whoever quotes.

Epoxy Flooring around Heathcote
The scheme tells decision makers to consider, as relevant, the Heathcote Local Floodplain Development Plan (City of Greater Bendigo, May 2021). The council's 2023/24 annual report names Heathcote among the areas most affected by the January 2024 flood, and counts garages and sheds among the buildings that flooded. None of these sources mentions floor coatings, so what follows is our inference, not a rule: a floor that may have had water on it is something to tell the provider when you describe the job, so the quote and the preparation allow for it.
Heathcote also sits in a water-supply catchment. The council's January 2015 wastewater strategy says the Lake Eppalock catchment includes townships such as Heathcote, Redesdale and Mia Mia, and the scheme says the Lake Eppalock Special Water Supply Catchment is to be protected from urban encroachment. The same 2015 strategy said Heathcote's general residential areas were partly serviced by a reticulated sewerage scheme: that is a 2015 statement and this page does not say what the position is now. EPA Victoria's rule that wastewater must be kept out of stormwater drains applies statewide, so ask where the slurry and wash-water from the floor will go, and where any floor drain leads.

Our Heathcote service area
An enquiry from Heathcote is passed on to an independent qualified provider, who gets in touch to look at the floor.
